About E.M.A.R.C.

We are located in Port Huron Michigan and the surrounding areas.

It was many years ago that John Kresin N8FNQ (sk) organized the initial meetings of EMARC at the old Burtchville Township Fire Hall in downtown Lakeport. John was a firefighter for the BTFD and got us access for the meetings. We didn’t dream that so many decades later, we would still be enjoying EMARC.

Our Club meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM excluding bad weather. All NEW HAMS are encouraged to show up and get to know some of the local Ham community. We meet at the St. Clair County International Airport (PHN), inside the Friends of the Airport Building. The address to get to the airport is 295 Airport Dr., Smiths Creek, MI 48074. Use the maps below to find the FOA Building as shown. We look forward to meeting Hams new and old. If anybody has questions about the hobby, the members here will be more than happy to assist and guide the person/s in learning about the questions being asked.

Our club does have a group of Volunteer Examiners that are certified to give the FCC Armature Radio Exams. This Group meets up on the second Saturday of each month at the St. Clair County Library located at 210 McMorran Blvd, Port Huron, MI 48060. The Room location my vary so we encourage the people coming in for the test to ask the front counter what room the test will be in. Furthermore, the test is $15, and you will need a copy of your driver’s license or passport, and Federal Registration Number (FRN). If applicable, bring either a photocopy of your current Amateur Radio license or a reference copy printed out from the FCC website.
